Africa Bike Week

Experience the Thrill

Africa Bike Week™, the largest free motorcycle rally in South Africa, takes place annually over a four day period in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal. Every year, thousands of motorcycle riders and enthusiasts attend the event, organised by Harley-Davidson South Africa, to enjoy an array of exciting activities and entertainment. Africa Bike Week™ is open to all bike lovers and is not limited to Harley-Davidson® riders and owners.

Those who attend always enjoy a jam-packed line-up including live entertainment for the whole family, traders markets and a ride-in bike show. One of the festival’s highlights is the Mass Ride event, which since inception in 2009, has taken place on Shelly Centre’s rooftop parking. The Mass Ride sees thousands of motorcycles line up on the last day of the festival, to participate in a 34km mass parade. Spectators line the route to cheer and support the riders and get up close and personal with the legendary Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. The Mass Ride includes bikes of every size, shape and colour imaginable, with acres of chrome, all polished to within an inch of their lives, brought there by riders from every part of Southern Africa.

Africa Bike Week is back in Margate from Thursday 23 April 2015 to Sunday 26 April 2015. So save the date and join us to experience the thrill of the Africa Bike Week Mass Ride!
