Hibiscus Retirement Villages was established in 1962 in the beautiful coastal town of Margate.

A registered non profit organisation, Hibiscus Retirement Villages became the first retirement society in the country to use the “Life Rights” basis. With 3 established retirement villages situated on some of South Africa’s most beautiful coast line HRV promises residents an unbeatable mature lifestyle with a strong emphasis on community, healthy living and security.

Ramsgate Retirement Village

Situated in Ramsgate, a prestine coastal town that boasts one of the finest blue flag beaches on the coast, the village consists of 61 face brick cottages and lots of amenities. Built in 1989 by the town board it was officially acquired by HRV in 1995

Margate Retirement Village

With a wide variety of integrated lifestyle facilities to suit all residents Margate Retirement Village has become a sought after retirement destination for many. MRV consists of 444 cottages and flats on 28 hectares of land. Wide roads, lush trees, and open space surroundings best characterize this estate.

Umdoni Retirement Village

350 Facebrick cottages on 33 hectares of land tucked away amongst beautiful indigenous Fever and Umdoni trees. The area is a haven for birds with over 125 different species being identified in the village itself.  The entire property is immaculately maintained and has become the keen gardeners paradise.

Comprehensive Frail Care 

The Frail care facilities within HRV have been a resounding success for over 40 years. Frail care is guaranteed for every single resident and includes all meals, nursing and care giving. Vibrant Community
