Ramsgate Literary Festival – 24th September

A wonderful line up has been scheduled for the first day of the Ramsgate Literary Festival, the 24th September 2015. Along with scheduled events, there will be a number of activities happening throughout the day.

  • Ramsgate Stationers Local Authors & Alan Paton Book Exhibition – Ramsgate Stationers will have a great selection of local authors’ books and Alan Paton books for sale at the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • Gourmet Cupcakes & Tea Garden – Gourmet “Literary” cupcakes will be on sale at the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • South Coast Oysters & Caviar – Come Dine With D & enjoy her unique signature foods at the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • Medieval Wine Tasting – Enjoy the FARRAGUT 1303 Medieval Wine Tasting at the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • Ramsgate Knit TwitsThe Ramsgate Knit Twits will be yarn bombing and knitting in public. Their work and skill will be on display at the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • Hazel’s World of Miniatures – Enjoy Hazel’s World of Miniatures’ literary themed promotional display at the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • Burlesque Café Veggie Food StandThe Burlesque Café will have delicious falafel pita pockets on sale at the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • Sollys Indian Delights – A scrumptious array of Indian food will be available at the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • Magazine Promotions – Make sure you collect your free magazines at the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • Golf Car Shuttle – A Golf car will be shuttling the elderly up and down the Ramsgate Whale Deck
  • 2nd Hand Book Collection – The Ramsgate Lions will be collection second hand books for worthy causes. All donations are welcome, please support this wonderful initiative. Book drop off points will be at all Tourism Offices and Ramsgate Stationers.

There will be a number of exhibitions and promotions at a few of our local businesses on both days

  • The Fair Antiques & Vintage Style – A rare collection of first editions will be on show and for sale
  • Ramsgate Relics Antiques – Collectors’ books, postcards, maps maps Ramsgate photographs of yesteryear will be on display
  • The Tinker’s Den – A display of historical local artifacts will be available for view as well as a collection of books downstairs
  • The Gaze Gallery – Izidro Duarte Exhibition
  • The Lobster Pot – A private collection of cookery books will be showcased
