What can be better than pulling up a chair, sitting under the stars and watching the moon rise over the ocean?
The Ramsgate Moondeckers Evening, hosted by the Ramsgate Conservancy, is a monthly get-together that just seems to be growing in popularity and it isn’t difficult to understand why. Each month, members of the community and visitors meet at the Whale Deck Education Centre and watch the full moon rise over the ocean.
Delicious food will be on sale, with all proceeds going to the Ramsgate Conservancy, and entertainment is provided by the mellow sounds of local guitarists and vocalists. Details of each month’s Moondeckers Evening will be updated on our Facebook page, so be sure to keep a lookout for the next event.
This really is a wonderful night out, bringing people together to enjoy a few drinks, chats and eats whilst watching the full moon rise over the ocean. So bring your camping chair and join in the festivities.
How to get there...
Finding the Whale Deck is not difficult at all. There are a number of ways to get to it. You can park at the tidal pool end of the beach and follow the neat path up the hill or simply park in town and find the entrance opposite the Crayfish Inn.
